With participation fees on the rise, sports programs across the US are seeing high attrition leading to low physical activity rates. Economically disadvantaged families are no longer able to cover the costs of sports and recreation programs, much less youth enrichment programs, which yield the built-in opportunity for kids to remain active.
The Lawton Youth Athletics Scholarship Fund helps support youth participants in the Lawton, Oklahoma community (18 & under) who wish to be involved in athletics programming but don't have financial access. Candidates may be eligible for up to 100% scholarship towards the registration cost for a program/activity of their choosing.
